I was finally able to watch the Introductory press conference. After hearing White describe the head coach he’s looking for, I have zero confidence that Lane Kiffin will be in the discussion. He emphasized things like representing the university with class and finding a person of outstanding integrity with a strong moral compass that he can trust. I like Lane as a coach but none of that sounds like him.

Saw that he said HC experience is not a criteria??
Boyd said this is not a place to learn on the job, and AV has said it was a sitting HC.
I think it’s going to be someone that Boyd, Plowman, White, and the Big Money all agree on.
Did they hand White a list and say it’s one of these,, Unless you got someone bigger and better??

"According to the Tulsa World, the contract states that Riley would be responsible to pay OU about $4.6 million if he decided to leave after the 2019 season for another football job. The amount drops by about $1 million each year, and the total amount will be waived in March of 2022."

Building off of my post earlier today, this guy makes a great point on VQ

"After 4 years Saban was 25-22-1 at Michigan State. Which of you would have bet he would end up being considered the greatest college football coach in history?
Not one of you nor me either.

So what makes you think you have this great knowledge to pick the next HC at UT better than an AD who has been picking one winner after another in BOTH football & Basketball?
I am hoping that DW becomes the Nick Saban of AD's in college sports. LOL

Please, try to be positive regardless of who DW picks and don't throw the coach under the bus if he doesn't win the SEC in the first year.
If the UT coach were to go 25-22-1 in his first 4 years at UT he would be fired.
Hell, he would never have made it to year 4 to begin with at UT and yet I bet you there isn't a Michigan St fan alive that wouldn't give their right arm to have Nick Saban back coaching at Michigan St.

For that matter there isn't a UT fan that wouldn't love to have Saban as the UT coach but if any of you were the AD at Michigan St back then I bet you would have fired him.
Think about that before you try to make claims about this coach or that coach being the only logical choice."

Hope this part is true. What a novel idea.. bring in an AD that has a proven track record of identifying great HC talent and then you actually let him make the hire he wants.
