DW talked about having hired coaches in the past who weren't really on hot boards, so I've been trying to think of a proven P5 coach who fits that criteria. A guy I've thought of whose name hasn't been mentioned, has a history of being a successful program builder, and has always run a clean ship (at least to my knowledge) is Bronco Mendenhall. I'm not saying he's on my list of guys I want. Just an off the wall name who would fit the criteria DW said he was looking for.

Due to our unique situation, 70% of names of possible hires will put us back into this situation again. It’s going to take a lot of skill and some luck IMO

Cristobal is OK I guess. I think he's an average coach at what should be a powerhouse school.

I think if you look at his record, you should ask yourself, "Would I want a coach with this record at USC or Texas?". I don't know. Probably not.

I think he's the Kirby Smart of the Pac 12.
