Simply not true going by the numbers. This roster is as good as it’s been for a new coach since Kiffin took over after Phil.

Has been offered 8 million a year today. This comes from a source as close to Peyton as a non family member can get.

You may hate him but he's a proven winner more than any other name mentioned.

Look at where he won those games. Most of those teams are trash. Couldn’t get it done against the big teams.

Campbell would definitely be our big fish hire, but something about it makes me uneasy. Everyone will say this place recruits itself, but only an elite recruiter could put us in the same realm as Bama and UGA. He doesn’t even have connections in the south.

Also, 7-6 including a bowl game loss in his fourth year at ISU. If he went 7-5 in his fourth year here, everyone on this forum would be calling for his head.

In the past 30 years before Campbell arrived, they only had a winning record 6 times, and only one 8+ win season. 8 wins at Iowa freaking State is fairly noteworthy.

I tend to agree. We CANNOT afford another Schianomo Sunday. Our program has absorbed about as much as it can take. Franklins on the field results are impressive, especially his time at Vandy. He dominated our more talented teams. Off the field, we would have to put some trust in the vetting process that has been done. With the search firm and the resources at DW disposal, the vetting should be fairly thorough, I'd imagine (and hope).

Hoping tomorrow is a great day for Volnation. Let's get this thing rolling in the right direction. Go Vols!
