You don’t make your AD the 2nd highest paid AD in nation and offer some long guaranteed contract to a question mark. You offer it to someone you know can win and that you know the fans are willing to give time to win because they trust in them.

If you don’t land that guy and get down the list then less likely those other guys get close to the same deal. A coordinator isn’t getting some 5 yr plus rolling years deal. A really good Hc would get that but not a coordinator or a guy that isn’t a no brainer.

Completely agree, and we're all human and have feelings and opinions about people, even without the whole story and that's our right. There is some incredible research done on the inner voice and what happens when you listen or choose to ignore it in regards to other.

Yes. We cleaned out the coaches and reported to the NCAA. Cleaned out staff too. We are going to be fine. Two year bowl ban and five scholarship reductions and back to your regularly scheduled program.

If we were about to hire someone, I have to think noise would come out from the other side.

Maybe, but with most communication happening via video calls right now, along with the search firm handling the heavy lifting, along with the fact that apparently DW is only including the two staffers that he brought with him, I think we will actually only hear something after the ink is dry and they are ready to trot somebody up to the podium.

Also, it may be a good sign since it usually leaks from the coaches side of things and Matt Campbell is his own agent, so there is no staff to leak it on his side. It could only leak if he leaks it. I suspect we will know about the same time as his players if it’s him.

Sadly, the NCAA seems to hammer the schools who self-report the most. Schools who deny get away with it usually.

Would be an absolute win and would show that our admin is shrewd. If that happens and we stick the landing with our coaching search, you'd really have to marvel at the maneuvering here.

Hmm. Good points. My thought was final interview at neutral site. If hired the second plane takes the new coach back to meet with his old team before flying to Knoxville. DW and DP come back on the other plan to prepare the red carpet.
