I like to think our new coach is first addressing the Team and all of their phones are being confiscated before the announcement.

Nope. If it's a sitting head coach, then his school and team find out first. The news then breaks. Coach flies in to Knoxville and the arrival all gets filmed. He does his press conference and then he meets the team. Maybe DW has him meet the team first, but the only way you sneak in a coach so the team finds out before it goes public is if that coach was unemployed or retired.
