Fanbase is hella fickle, hell we've got what 30-50 of us in here and can't even settle on a top guy we're ALL happy with.

If it's Sonny Dykes and he starts winning 8-10 every season while being competitive in the other games, the fans will be in Neyland. Same for Elliot, Fleck, Campbell, Fickell, or Franklin. It won't matter much who the HC is, if they start winning the fanbase will rally.

Except there is no way Dykes sniffs 9 wins. He went 10-26 against PAC12 teams.

What's impressive to me is that I can barely keep up with this thread but there are people who keep up both here and on VQ.

So Elliott and Dykes are the only candidates he knows of (or is sharing). Franklin is the only big name he thinks will at least listen but he would have to leave a pretty nice gig at Penn State.

So pretty much he doesn't know very much. Even if AV says he's the guy to listen to it doesn't mean his sources know anything. The only person who knows anything is DW and it's going to stay that way until we hire someone.
