If the search utterly falls apart, I think Kevin Steele as interim for this year is not the worst outcome. 2021 is going to be maybe the worst season ever anyway, but maybe this job will be more attractive if the NCAA has more or less figured out what to do with us by then and we won't have the cloud hanging over us.
Don't get me wrong, Steele as the coach, interim or not, is a terrible outcome. I'm just afraid we're going to dump a boatload of money into Sonny Dykes's lap when we panic and it's going to cost us more money in the long run if we do that.
