UCF 247 staff writer says he doesn't think anything is final, there is still HOPE

The media and even some fans can blame this fan base all they want. The fact is that we’ve been betrayed by our admin and self serving boosters that would prefer to act like team owners than actually build a winning program. Our boosters are the Dan Snyders of the world. Despite the roller coaster of mediocrity and absolute embarrassment we’ve endured the last 15 years, we pack the stands, we obsess over coaching searches, we blow up Twitter with the strongest support for recruits there is, and we remain as devoted as ever. If a coach comes here and wins, we would happily pay them $10 million a year and build statues and name ****ing streets after them. We’ve shown time and time again we are a fan base that’s more than okay with idol worship.

It is and never will be the fan’s fault. We deserve better.

Indeed. It would be one thing if we were winning 11 games a year and were demanding our coach be fired for losing in the playoffs. In reality we are a fan base that has been fed ******** after ******** hire and yet we continue to show up, spend money and energy on the product. We have the right to demand better.

No one has fully confirmed it but they do that in reporting to keep themselves away from liability if something does fall through.

VolQuest, Vols247, UCF247 and even Oklahoma247 have said the smoke is legitimate.

We absolutely cannot try to Schiano this thing. Another one of those stunts will bury our program for good. Good luck getting anybody to take this job if we try to blow this thing up.
