I don't think Tennessee was ever going to touch Kiffin or Freeze regardless of who the AD was. Right or wrong, it just wasn't going to happen.

Kiffin has run amuck in several spots.
and both Chadwell and Freeze have baggage.
it is understandable if they’re blacklisted.

They will. They will take whatever Tennessee gives them every 3 or 4 years and invent reasons to think its gonna work this time.

Only solution for the fan is to stop supporting. Stop buying tickets. Stop buying merch. Stop discussing the team on message boards and move on to something else. Also, campus protests over a coaching hire you don't like is just stupid..

He is an elite offensive coach and developer of QB’s. His defense has been the problem at UCF where he has a record of 28-8. Keep Steele, hire Garner, defense is fixed
