I’m glad we didn’t settle for a definitely mediocre coach..... he got a guy that has at least a dominate.... that offense is elite... I could watch their highlight videos all day long. I think DW will do a great job here at Tennessee.I'm just so out on White with how everything went down. The optics of this hire are awful. I think he should donate the search agency fee to charity out of his paycheck or something. The guy took a fat raise to get his current coach a raise also.
UNLV was the first game I ever took my son to watch. I still have a picture of him with Jumbotron in background. We loved those uniforms. We have gone to many other games together, but I will always remember that game.I’m good with an alternate here or there, but nothing too crazy. Would really like to do the throwbacks we did vs UNLV again.
Thanks. I was thinking that if he took impermissible benefits it would affect his amateur status, but your theory makes more sense. My theory here is we know he took money. If we play a player knowing that then we are knowingly playing an ineligible player. We'd have to vacate wins. Now I'm not sure if we are obligated to share that evidence with another school, in this case Oklahoma. They would have plausible deniability. Since it's unlikely that the NCAA will investigate for a couple of years, He will be gone.
Right, like every recruit that was a done deal but it’s fluid. Everything’s fluid around here. Dude had no clue what was coming lol.Spin what
We got a good coach
Not @Atlanta VOL fault or DW or anyone else’s fault that rumored bigger candidates said no
Pruitts the one to blame
Taking emotions out of it they did pretty well. Even if JH is a complete flop... I think we will be better situated in the next coaching search.Pretty sure Franklin wasn't top of the list, but he was the only one that UT was ready to paper. Others said no rght away. JH was backpocketed all along, and once they got to a certain point, it was all Heupel and they finalized a deal very quickly. UT knew before hiring DW that he could bring others and put together a package at a reasonable cost. UT basically bought a $6MM safety net, and they used it.
