We have hired guys I was impressed by..... Bob Shoop and it ended up a mess..... a young coach that is extremely upward mobile is as good as anything imo.

I just don’t any DC that takes this job is risking a lot of his future. Tough spot and dang sure a tough Offense to work with. If he really is next in line at Ohio State he needs to say no to us imo

What I do care about Is Tenn being good and the 3 years Willie Martinez was here were the 3 best years we have had in a very long ass time here. He had Cam Sutton and other lesser talented players balling out and if Butch hadn’t fired him and JJ Butch would still be our coach

For the record I expect KC to be in the mix again next year.

I start my new job in the morning! I wanted to thank everyone in this thread for keeping me sane this winter. I lost a good job back in March and was having a hard time finding something comparable. My mind was really starting to mess with me and playing in here helped me get through the days I was home alone. The posters in this forum are some of the best people I've ever "met". You all are quick to pray, quick to donate, and quick to help anyone that asks you for it. The VN RF is a special place and I appreciate all of you.

I think they saw him and JJ as attached at the hip and blamed them for the OU and Florida losses. The thing was without great coaching the team wouldn’t have been in position to win those games anyways. Both of those guys did a great job for us and when they left we got worse

It's always silly to me listening to claims of who is the GOAT. Every QB is in a different situation, with different coaches, different players around him, different schemes. Not to mention the differences players face from different eras. Good enough for me to say TB (and PM) are among the greatest of all time. Anything more than that is just meaningless fan talk.

Not just his time here...ask UGA fans as well and they will tell you he is trash. He is Will Friend...not a very good coach but lots of friends in the industry so keeps falling up.

Wasn’t Willie the DB coach when we would get all the PI penalties from the DB’s never turning their heads and playing the ball? I think people complained, but he has put some DB’s in the NFL.
