There will always be people who are jealous of insiders because of the attention they receive. Insiders can’t be right 100% of the time, because other coaches/players change their minds, so the jealous ones use that as an opening to take shots. Then there are people who don’t believe an insider can even exist so they take shots automatically. In my experience it has been like that on Vol boards for years.

Feels Like 98 had an insider who was so good during the Butch years that someone at the University offered the site owner box tickets to reveal personal info about the insider. I think this reflected Butch’s insecurity more than the dysfunction at Tennessee, but it may have been both. The owner didn’t comply.

I agree and I am glad the owner did not comply. I had a personal experience with Botch's paranoia while attending a camp practice with VFL friends. So, very familiar with the way that psycho's mind works. I felt sorry for Antoine trying to cover for him with the players and fans. Having money and power do strange things to people at times.

I grew up near Charlotte and a park called Carowinds. Their version was called The Oaken Bucket. Fun stuff. I’m in my 40s now and the last time I rode a roller coaster with my kids (a couple years ago) I felt like I was about to throw up everything I’d eaten for the past two weeks. Amazing how your body changes to where you can’t handle stuff like that anymore.

Been years since I rode a Gravitron. Pretty sure the last time was in Myrtle Beach while high as a kite.

Good point. I am very happy DW is shutting it down. The leaks/stories take on lives of their own that are usually far from reality, yet, fuel the insecurity. Coaches who are predisposed to the insecurity it creates will do and say strange things at times. Botch was a 100% example of it and we all saw it play out openly. Nobody good was going to coach on his staff, especially after that 4th year implosion that played out publicly.

Shut the leaks down and it takes some pressure off an already stressful occupation. Especially when you are trying to rebuild from the ashes of a dumpster fire.

I find it really odd we would hire a DL coach before a DC and then expect the DC to keep him.

Very strange way of doing things.

Here's a thought on naming Garner as a DL coach before they announced the DC.
Maybe they knew naming Garner would make the majority of the fan base really happy with his hire to help offset the news of the DC hire if it is not a popular hire.

Agree. Never understood using the biting the hand that feeds you approach. It's a message board, accept what is posted or not - your choice. You may not even agree with what he posted and that's OK. I haven't at times, but that's the way life works. We all get to have our own opinions. Accept the info or discard it. But why the venom for AV? He tried to inform with what he knew while the judgers sit on their arses and judge, yet, they provide nothing themselves? Pathetic loser mentality IMO.

The loser mentality is worshipping the hand that never feeds, but pretends to. People have the right to call people on their lies

I wonder if AV was a victim to shutting off the leak. Perhaps some misinformation put out there to see where the leaks were, like the Chris Low info. I may be wrong but it seems Low hasn't had a lead or announcement since that all started.

We just need to not screw around and wait to long on KR and not get Conklin because their season is starting soon.

With every new name it is truly looking like JH is being forced to hire a minority candidate for DC. It’s the only 3 we have been serious with yet Brice comments we have had significant interest at times in the position. No reason not to go straight to Conklin if Kacy turns it down instead of the Banks dude Hubb mentions. I don’t mind T-Rob at all as I think their defensive struggle this yr was the exception to the rule and he is an elite DB coach and Recruiter. Just reading the tea leaves of the names being released their is a clear trend. I don’t mind it if things are even or they are best candidate but I don’t want to reach just because of how someone looks when we should be looking at everyone the same and judging based on resume

Naw just a victim of his plan falling to and screwing over the university by handing over receipts yet trying to blame someone else for the failure and taking it too far. #stuckonthemoon
