Dan Quinn would be amazing. Just because you don’t blitz much doesn’t mean you can’t be aggressive.

Everyone has been gushing about Todd Bowles lately, rightfully so, but he’s near the bottom of the league in terms of blitz %. He’s just great at calling plays and being strategic with it.

When you have a front 4 that just beat up Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes you don’t have to blitz. I think the Super Bowl finally showed the kryptonite to the Spread, and that is an elite front 4 where you can drop 7.

True, but it’s very rare to be able to get pressure with just 4. It’s one thing to win against a GB or KC by outscoring them or give 1000 up yards, but to shutdown those offenses the way they did is incredible. I kind of expect there to be a movement to try and move more athletes to the edge on D to try and replicate what the Bucs just did. Not saying edge rushers haven’t always been a huge priority, I just expect more prospects to be molded into that position.

It was similar to when the New York Giants beat the undefeated Patriots that year. They had an elite front 4 that constantly pressured Brady and threw him off rhythm. But it’s easier said than done to get a front 4 like that.

They blitzed on 40% of plays in the regular season, top 5 in the league. He just knew he didn’t have to in the super bowl

I completely agree, and that’s exactly what i thought of when I was watching that game.

Really liked the thought of Washington or Rodgers.. Conklin seems like that would be a very smart hire. And I still wouldn't be upset if Steele is where we wind up.

It probably doesn’t work without having the push up the middle that Tampa is able to do.... they just have four above average players and the ends were going against back ups.... it is very hard to replicate.

He also says that if you’re a truck man, you’re a Ford man— and that if you’re a Ford man, you’re a Mid Tenn. Ford man. Clearly the guy makes a lot of assumptions.
