We started in our early 30s and have four. Who needs to retire when you’re having this much fun?I have two regrets, not starting earlier, we didn't have kids until we were in our early 30's and we didn't have more. We have two, a daughter that just got married back in August and a son that is a junior at UT in EE. He commutes so I still have him for another couple of years, probably staying to get his master's.
Gus and UCF will be a fascinating experiment.
I'm supremely interested to see how well he can recruit down there.
Not surprised on this. I have said before, I’m shocked Simpson would have wanted to play for Pruitts sorry offense, and you have to think he’s intrigued at the potential of CJH’s system and what recognition it could bring his way.excellent news in the ty simpson thread for those that don't venture in the player threads. sounds like JH has gotten us back in the hunt. AP even said we were right there with Clemson and just ahead of Bama.
Uhmm..that is really not true. The 2019 defense was a really good defense which was very much improved over the season before, and vastly better than the 2017 defense.Hated the previous incarnation of the 4-2-5, but Pruitt’s vision of the multiple 3-4 base never took off either.

UCF is the Cadillac of the G5, and I think he can start selling "I've been to the top of the SEC mountain" and "I will get you drafted" in ways other coaches have not been able to sell there.I'd say he'll be able to replicate the 60s rankings of the last decade they seem to be stuck at. I don't think with his salary pool for staff he'll be able to pull in any big time assistants to really hit the trail, but if he can manage to find some young guys on the rise he may have a few seasons where his rankings flirt with top 50.
Ultimately though he's got a great program, and I do believe he may be there for quite awhile. I mean he could George O'Leary down there very easily and I think he'll have a more consistent product than O'Leary did.
Sometimes truth is hard to hear.Well your list sucks then. View attachment 352034
It’s very much true. We like to remember the games at the end of the season and forget the early rough patch. All 3 seasons they had issues lining up and unforced errors...hence my use of “never took off”. Better than the landmark 2017 defense isn’t BETTER.Uhmm..that is really not true. It regressed this year, but it still wasn't even close to as bad as the horrid 2017 defense.
