Davis was number one RB in the nation (I think). We definitely went all in on him. I recall Cadillac and Brown wanted to play together.I can’t remember for sure on Ronnie Brown, but I know that we were all in on Cadillac Williams, Auburn just won that battle. We still got Davis, Derrick Tinsley, and Cedric Houston that year.
Did any of you all catch the most recent episode of Peyton’s Places? He had Willie Gault on there so it had some good UT content.
I don’t think video exists of this play...I’ve spent a good bit of time looking for it...does anyone know if there is video of the play where John Ward said, “Willie Gault, ladies and gentlemen, is running all the way to the State capitol”
NO, I met up with the other morans at that BBQ place and hung out for an hour before we left for the game. You had already left.We had raw games of flip cup and beer pong on deck while making fun of Indiana fans and with corn jokes and @InVOLuntary wanted to head to the game early to watch them "warm up". Sad. @TrippieRedd would have joined the shenanegins
Not as big as I used to be but I'm still a pretty big, old boy. (emphasis on "old")
Ask, @OGbabyaviVol or @bignewt or some of these other yahoos that have met me. @utvols88 had the chance but heard I was on the way and chickened out.
I've got some of the original, unedited stuff from him on cassette. Probably stuff he copied and shared with friends. We used to laugh until we cried listening to his stuff.I was playing off of your comment ... I can't remember where I've heard that before ... "________ ain't afraid of me!" It's hilarious.
Mine was the old Rod D Mercer skit/prank call stuff, where he prank calls people, starts some stuff, and then threatens to beat them up, only to ask the question, "How big a fellar are you?" It's pretty crude, but humorous.
Demontie Cross and chad walker was mention beforeWhile thinking about the defensive staff hires: is there any chance with Lance Thompson coming back as a linebacker coach? He did coach with Garner and Auburn for one year in 2015.
I'm just thinking who could be hired at LB coach.
The Penn State linebacker coach and Kevin Simon are all I've really got at this point. Someone one here said that Heupel would likely have his staff completed by the end of tomorrow.
