Every coaching staff says it will build its offense around the roster. Every one.
The fact of the matter is Golesh said verbatim today that they prefer a running QB. So I would bet on Hooker or Salter being Day 1 starter.
Bailey, in his short time playing, also didn't seem to have the arm strength necessary to run an offense like this.
I'm not ruling him out, but like I said, I don't think he's the favorite.
Only 7% of Texas' power comes from wind turbines. Natural gas/coal plants are more to blame because of zero cold weather prep for natural gas supply lines, so they're freezing up. Texas wants to have their own power grid so they can avoid federal regulations. This is one result of that. Facts be damned when you can make a meme though.

Exactly. I mean I hate to use Manning as an example but dudes Arm Strength at the end of his career was awful. Especially since he had trouble gripping the ball as well. However, all his throws were on time and where they needed to be. Which is all that matters.Arm strength not in his top 3. I agree. Overrated compared to accuracy and decision-making, which affect 100% of throws.
My main concern with him was taking too many hits, sacks, and fumbles. But JG and I'm sure many freshman have similar issues. His accuracy was elite. So weird how fans just pick "the next QB" I mean despite how absolutely terrible Chaney was while here and how pathetic last season was nothing Bailey did makes me think he's not "got it"
Selfishly I'd love to RS Bailey/Salter and Hooker be the guy with Maurer as his backup. Just so going into 22 we'd have Bailey/Salter battling it out to be the guy with both having at least 2 years left. Not sure who the guy ends up being, but I think Harrison Bailey suddenly getting passed over is crazy talk.
Eh. There were times Bailey looked great. But in his limited play, he had the ball stripped multiple times because he either didn't see or feel the pressure or was unable to release the ball quick enough. I'm not too worried about that though. A good coach can fix those issues and teach him when to make a quick pass, when to throw away, and when to cut losses and pull the ball in.
That's what I thought was said. So he's a running QB with some experience therefore he will start. From the presser it sounded like the one who can make the reads the fastest will start even though they do prefer a QB to be able to run. Also for everyone betting on Hooker being the starter..... the VT Boards weren’t to high on his QB skills. Said he had a tough time making reads and decisions.

Just wonder if this staff will favor a quick twitch kind of passer. Guess we'll see...they certainly have a great pick of the litter. Best QB room since...idk when.
HB can run when he has to. I think he actually had one of our longest rushes to me game. Ran for almost 50 yards. That's what I thought was said.
