You can keep trying to make an argument based on what your politics are but the objective truth (of today’s society which is all that matters) is that sex and gender now have two different meanings. Is that right or wrong? I don’t know or care. It’s just how things are in society right now. I guess it makes sense to have those dividers. any further redefining of the words after this is when I’ll draw the line.

People keep saying they do, but they don't though.

What is the definition of a man, as it refers to gender? What is the definition of a woman, as it refers to gender?

This idea that sex and gender mean two different things is this talking point that people say, but it doesn't actually make any coherent sense. Categorizing men and women differently only makes sense when it is grounded in a biological context.

Imagine everyone was assigned a gender by flipping a coin. Being trans would be meaningless because gender would be completely arbitrary. So if gender and sex aren't the same thing, what is gender and how is it not arbitrary? Being trans only makes sense with the biological underpinning known as "sex".

Seems backwards to me. Gender Dysphoria is a disorder where your noggin doesn't match your body, but the medical answer is to attempt to change the body to match the brain, rather than change the brain to match the body. If I decide I feel more like a bird than a human, they institutionalize me, but if I say I feel more like a girl than a guy, they pump me full of estrogen and offer to cut my peen off.

There ya go. Gender is arbitrary hence why some people identify as “gender fluid”. However, one couldn’t be “sex fluid” (lol)

Gender is obviously not arbitrary, or there would be no reason to change it. Each gender has various behaviors and appearances accociated with it, which is why trans people caricature the opposite gender when they transition.

The question is, what is the definition? "A woman is someone who wears dresses." That's not it, because there are women who don't wear dresses but are definitely still women.

My point is that there is only one way to define "woman", and that is in the biological sense. There is no seperate definition for "woman" the gender that is inclusive for all women.

Are you comparing the idea that some people feel like they are actually the opposite sex and that should now be an unquestionable truth to the incontrovertible science that the Earth revolves around the Sun? The fact is that their is science behind why people "feel" that they are the opposite sex and those imbalances could like be corrected with hormone treatments. It is not an unquestionable truth that gender or sex that you are at birth should be fluid until you are old enough to choose for yourself. You are male or you are female. The insanely few cases of hermaphrodites and things of that nature are so few that they can be taken on a case by case basis. Stop trying to explain away millennia of biological facts with the feelings of a miniscule minority.
