To act like AV knew nothing is wild. He called the Cade Mays transfer out of nowhere, Terrence Lewis commitment out of nowhere, and multiple other random commitments. Did he get a lot of them wrong? Yes. But he was relaying info about 17-18-year-old kids who change their minds daily. Was he overconfident sometimes on commitments? Yes. But his visitor info was always spot on and he called many out of nowhere moves. At the end of the day, he is a Vol fan and probably was too optimistic sometimes, but he definitely knew info that the normal fan wouldn't know.

Some of the sources may be boosters who don't get info anymore. Regardless, AV is a decent human and doesn't really need all the grief he gets here.

Eh, I never minded AV, appreciated that he tried to bring news to us who otherwise wouldn't have had access. I also appreciate that he was as much a fan any of us, so I never kept track of when he 'missed', because he was sharing information with a hopeful slant. Not sure why we want to crucify anyone who isn't 100% right all the time.

Some got their hopes up thinking it was official and couldn't handle the crash.
