I have always been in favor of coaches not being able to restrict where a player transferred to. I have also always been in favor that transfers must sit out a year, but can be on scholarship while they do. I recently have accepted that maybe one transfer could be "free" with no restrictions, but if that person wanted to transfer again (without any extenuating circumstances), they would have to sit a year. The Transfer portal is absolute craziness now. Rosters are going to get flipped every year, I think. Also, this year, so many players will not find a home or will find one at a lower level than they envisioned. Not really excited where all of this is going, to be honest.

A Spanish magician has a grand magical show and at the end he says he will disappear after counting to three. He starts to count, "Un, dos..." Kazaam! He vanished without a TRES!

Mays, Fant, & Velus I think will be drafted.

A few maybes depending on how well this season goes. I think quite a few DL guys got potential to be first day guys if they develop well under Rodney.

I don’t know which WR, but I think at least one of them will be a future first rounder. Heupel’s offenses have put quite a few in the league.

Ridiculously premature future draft questions:

1. Who on our roster now do you think gets drafted in 2022?

B. Who on our roster now (if anyone) do you see as a future 1st rounder?

We collectively reserve the right to book mark your answers and shame you if your wrong, years down the road.

Joe Milton, most decorated QB in CFB history, #1 overall pick, 2024

So, co-worker of mine who was born and raised in Knoxville, bet me $100, that we don’t win more than 5 games I said we would win more than 5 games.

Then proceeded to say how Tee Martin deserved to be a Head Coach at Tennessee and I said based off of what? He hasn’t held any position or contributed to those positions in any significant way to even suggest he should be a Head Coach at Tennessee.

I then proceeded to say no schools would pick him up as a Head Coach and he had applied for jobs. He said well Tee isn’t going to coach somewhere small, to which I said well you have to start somewhere and prove you can build a program.

He didn’t have anything to say after that.

Safe to say we better win more than 5 games or I am going to be upset. I want this individual to eat his words mainly because I don’t understand how you can be a Tennessee fan and speak like he about our program.

Based off what we've seen so far, not a damn one, but that could change this season. It only takes one good season for an NFL team to fall in love with you.

Edit - Sorry, all I saw was "1st rounder". I think we have several that could get drafted, but so far, no one has shown themselves to be a 1st rounder.

Because people think it's cool to conform to a negative and ignorant view of things.

So much of that has been created by the dysfunction within UT and the media selling it for clicks and subscriptions through the years of failure. Most people don't really research on their own or try to understand the game like most on here do. They just spout media talking points.

You made a good bet IMO.

At some point the powers that be will try and rein in the transfer rule. Today so many think they should be playing as soon as the step on campus and way more times than not they are just simply not ready physically or mentally. Some kids mature at a slower pace and just aren't good enough and the coaches are responsible for some if not all of their expectations of playing time by continuously telling them how great they are instead of telling them the truth during their recruitment. This breed discontent which leads to the desire for greener pastures.

The money and time invested in a player is sizable, in scholarships and such and now days the return on investment in the eyes of some is not equal, since money is the key here and college sports is a business, so lets not forget that. When the pay to play and NIL takes hold, and it will, think of the turmoil that college sports in general will be in at that point.

There are good arguments on both sides but in the end it will change college sports on every level and it will be something we have yet to imagine. The constant turn over of team rosters will be commonplace and the end of the NCAA, good or bad, will follow shortly thereafter. The transfer rules today are just a glimpse into what is to come, like it or not.

He’s at least read this board...if not outright posted on it. 😏

I really hate what Goodell has done to the draft. What an embarrassing spectacle it is.

Give me the days of simple clean football analysis and pick discussion.

Save the light shows, crap bands, randoms with long winded human interest stories announcing picks etc. And the cartoon graphics that make no sense.

What in the absolute f is going on.

basically me right now:

Why are you posting pictures of @Orange Studs ?
