Actually anyone that heard that is going to take it as I couldn't win at Tennessee no matter how good I am so I hope I go to a superbowl winning team and can win that way in the NFL.
Maybe he thought the coaching sucked at UT and had zero faith in the staff getting UT to national championship level. I’d say he was pretty accurate

I can’t remember who kept getting on here saying we should hire Tee as head coach when South Alabama wouldn’t even hire his mediocre ass? There was a reason USC fired him.

I don’t care we didn’t get Rodgers but when he took Higgins too that really stung.

That would be...Kingston.

titans got an extra 4th round pick for moving back 7 spots. that's a hell of a deal for the titans

It’s the smartest move in football. Dallas got an extra 3rd by letting philly move up 2 spots and both teams selected who they would’ve anyway. Some GMs are playing chess and there are some other clear checkers players

While I’d like for Cameron Miller and Dallen Hayden to pick UT, if I’m being honest I almost don’t think it makes that big a difference if they don’t. I truly feel like Heupel is going to turn whatever kids we get into stars. So I’m mostly focused on who we get on defense.

The only offensive player I am hoping beyond hope picks us is Devin Hyatt in ‘23.

I think he is the most likely legit 5 star talent we have a shot at in immediate future.

He wasn’t exactly wrong, just in his wording. His health has always been a question mark, crappy OL coach (yep, I said it), two coaching changes and a Covid year. They kid should have been at least a low first rounder.

It’s the quoting himself to gloat he was right about *****ing on one of our players though.

Trey is gonna be a steal now for whoever snags him.

1st round talent & size that will flourish in year 2 or 3 with legit OL coaching.
That's true but with every pick going in front of him, he's losing major bucks. I guess GM's just don't want to tie up millions of dollars with his risk potential.

Either way... who cares?

That’s true kind of. If you end up balling at a pro bowl level the team doesn’t control you for 5 years. Not sure how the math would work out but a big second deal quicker could balance some of it out. Maybe

Maybe it is not necessary to insult your home state team because they had a coaching staff that could not get you to a national championship even if you happen to be proven right. Especially since there were other reasons that he did not choose Tennessee. But since he did not, I am not the least bit interested in his opinion about anything. And I am ecstatic that a Tennessee receiver with a horrible QB was drafted higher than him with the number 1 pick in the NFL. Hilarious

Very fair

And the longer it goes the more it reinforces in their mind that others are concerned also.

Hope Trey gets drafted today.

I have that weird Curt Maggitt feeling that his health issues could drop him to UDFA. We will see!

If you’re not a top 15 pick, it’s more about finding a team that will play you and get to that SECOND CONTRACT. You’re not losing multiple millions in guarantees the lower you go.
