Out of the P5 markets, I feel we are in a really good position. We have as much or more population/market dollars as anyone in the SEC. The way I see it is look at cities with higher populations and limited/no professional teams in the big 3 sports. It's a rare "sweet spot" zone.

That said, nationally speaking, the biiiig winners could be Texas and OSU. Austin is absolutely exploding. I believe over 1 million people now with no pro (football, basketball, baseball) sports teams. Columbus has 800k or so iirc.

Compare our situation to Athens, Tuscaloosa, Gainesville. We have a good spot.

By MSA (metropolitan statistical area) population:

Knoxville - 869k
Gainesville - 329k
Tuscaloosa -252k
Athens - 213k

The Columbus Metro area is actually over 2 million.

I’m not an architect (and I’d love the opinion of one) but looking at an aerial of the stadium the other day I see lots of expansion possibilities along the 3rd base/left field side and some on the opposite side as well. Also, would it be possible to build up higher behind home?
