Agreed. He's got one good off speed pitch no one in college can hit.Im sorry but I dont see it, Kopps is a great college pitcher, but I dont see him making it at the next level. He's a one trick pony with no velo to go with it.
The pitch count stuff is just new age baseball based off analytics and injuries…Some studies on it thinks injuries are more mechanics issues rather than overuse…. I feel it is a combination of the two……Look at the older pitchers….. Nolan Ryan once struck out 19 hitters over 13 innings in 235 pitches thrown.Agreed. Everyone in the majors either has one good offspeed pitch paired with elite velocity, or multiple good off speed pitches.
With that said he absolutely back packed that team. I feel for him, that his coach put him in a position to "lose them the game" when the fact that he was still pitching at all was crazy with his pitch count.
He can definitely keep his head up knowing he left it all out there.

That is just baseball..we could win this or get sent packing by a huge underdog too...that's just postseason baseball. In his defense, that was an excellent team, clear cut #1 that just got upset (and I’m soooo happy!!)
