Yes. A really weak ending doesn't discount the fact we made it to the CWS.

Winning it all in baseball is so hard. 3 straight Omaha's for MST, no titles. Best team in the country runs into an incredibly hot NCST team and doesn't even make it to Omaha. All the top seeds are in the losers bracket. Its a great season nonetheless.

Baseball and Basketball gotta be the toughest. Still see a high seed win in basketball most years though. Baseball definitely tougher

I hate losing, but we went to the college world series in Tony's fourth year. (Might have went last year, if it hadn't been cancelled) Let's hope we can hold on to him.

I was with a MSU friend on Sunday. They have been to 12 CWS and never won it. He kept telling me you just never know how kids respond in Omaha.

Yeah, it was clear a lot of our guys were playing tight.

Also - you don't get to ease into this thing. Gotta come out guns blazing from the first pitch.

Fun that they got there and hope we get to many more!

Great run. Will never forget being there for the walkoff grand slam. Special moment and no one cares if you finish 2nd or 7th. We made it to Omaha and get to add another year to the outfield wall. Now go lock down Tony.

yeah I had seen the number of 1.6 offered then some said LSU came calling throw 1.8

That bases loaded, no out inning that led to zero runs killed us. Haven't looked right since.

That and the S*** call and review at home plate.

He is absolutely worth every penny. Just because we didn’t win it all doesn’t mean TV isn’t one of the best coaches in CB.

The thing is, and this is almost universally true of Vol games, is that there is usually a completely bad ump/ref call that affects us, and then we also do a bunch of other dumb stuff to make that call inconsequential. Except for the bammer game in the SEC Tournament, I can't think of a lone call that was the only reason we lost. We just gotta put ourselves in better positions!

We hit it out of the infield plenty. Just nice an high so their outfielders had plenty of time to get under it.

If before the season you were told the baseball team would win 50 games, win the East Division, win both the Regional and Super Regional, their HC would be named COY, and then they would go to the CWS, but would lose in two games there; would you have signed up for it?

Yep - most everybody would have said count me in.
