He's not a troll...he is just expressing his very real expectation of being dumped by TV.

Yes, we all know where he stands. He’s got a bad case of BVS and I get it. We’re all probably a little antsy about TV until he’s extended or LSU makes a hire.

He’s just been all over this thread and the baseball forum taking every little tweet, rumor, and nugget to mean he’s gone. He did it with the tweet about the seniors when it has nothing to do with TV. He’s usually a good poster, but he’s certainly been a troll with this stuff the past few days.

Tennessee is prepared to pay upwards of 2 million. LSU is willing to go higher. Bianco is out, he just signed an extension. O'Connor makes no sense, he got hot at the right time to get to omaha, but their overall record is average.

O'Connor has taken UVa to 15 NCAA tournaments in his 18 year tenure, with 5 CWS appearances and 1 national title. The only way he makes no sense for LSU is if you've only followed college baseball since Covid existed.

He is not. He really thinks TV is leaving and has said it for weeks.
It's totally fine to think that. I think the annoying thing is that he's so convinced that he's almost wishing it will happen, and he's ignoring legitimate evidence and reasoning on why it very well may not happen.

No he has been crying for weeks. Never seen someone get so butt hurt and bent out of shape over a baseball coach. lol I want him to stay as much as anyone but geeeez there are other great coaches out there IF he decides to leave. And if he does leave its cause he wants to leave and wants LSU job cause DW is throwing everything out to him to keep him. So if he wants the LSU job and decides to leave I wish him the best and thank you for building up our baseball program.

I think we all need to accept some absolute truth here: TV may absolutely leave. And let's face it, it shouldn't be a total shock to anyone if he does.

Next: when it comes to LSU, there is 100% a solid list of coaches that ought to come before Vitello. LSU says they want a proven guy with experience. O'Connor fits that bill more than any other coach not named Tim Corbin, and he's affordable for them. The Louisville coach is also on that short list, but a little more expensive. Godwin and Bianco were CLEARLY higher on the list than Vitello. That's already been made clear. Vitello could be a flash in the pan. He could fizzle out over the next few years. There's no evidence he can sustain success, but he has a huge upside. Hiring him is more of a bet. High risk, high reward, and they'll have to pay him more than they were paying Pat (who won them a national title for goodness sakes).

LSU has to be told no a few times before TV will have an opportunity to make a decision (unless we get him to sign before then) in my opinion.

Danny's job is to sign him before the phone rings.

Vitello has to strike while the iron is hot. If he wants to take control of a premier program his chance is probably on the horizon. Contrary to what many of us may think this year could very well be the high water mark of his career so he has to take advantage of it.

Or maybe stay and make your own premier program? Sign a huge contract for many years? Get necessary renovations done at LNS and make your on legacy instead of jumping into someone else's legacy? Cause following LSU's coach isn't going to be so easy.

Absolutely. Vitello seems to be the type not to back down from any challenge though. I doubt the expectations of LSU phase him at all.

He's like 104.

IF...he leaves I hope he f'n rots...I don't thank him for only halfway starting something and then taking a public humiliating crap on us..and I sure as hell ain't wishing him to do well at a SEC rival school.

Everyone please note the big "IF"

STFU. We are tired of your negative BS.

Wearing my orange here in Hawaii and some jackoff just walks by and gives me a “roll tide”

Don’t test me right now old man. I’m in no mood and I will toss your a$$ into this lagoon.

What are you waiting for? It’s your duty and honor as a VFL. However, the tide fan will need a little cut before the toss. Make it a crimson tide with obliging sea creatures. 😁
