Go back to your corner. But, great insight.I was reading about or QB's and the OL. We all need to remember that the way you give a QB time to throw if you have a less than stellar OL is system. Quick misdirection and play action is how it is done. If you only have a straight drop back passer, yes you are in trouble but if you have a fairly agile QB and a system where the DC know that they have to make sure their players stay home and play assignment football instead of a all out rush then you can be successful.
That's true. The only one I've seen do that was Todd Helton. He would have two strikes and foul off pitches until he got what he wanted. Not everytime, but very good at that. That’s baseball. Usually when fans on Twitter call us choke artists I agree but I don’t think they understand baseball very much. Mostly because they’re talking as if you can aim where you hit it. There’s like maybe 20 major league guys who can pull it where they want to but they want 9 college kids to be able to do it
I'm old school and I hate watching a MLB game and almost every at bat involves a defensive shift and the batter proceeds to hit into the shift. Maddening compared to what use to be. Now get of my lawn.Yep. There wouldn’t be a major revolution in playing the shift if players could just hit wherever they wanted
MLB has devolved into homerun or strikeout with no in between. I wonder what kind of career a guy like Rickey Henderson would have in today’s game. Granted he got on base via walks a tonI'm old school and I hate watching a MLB game and almost every at bat involves a defensive shift and the batter proceeds to hit into the shift. Whatever impact it was he'd be sure to tell you about it, but I really enjoyed watching him play.MLB has devolved into homerun or strikeout with no in between. I wonder what kind of career a guy like Rickey Henderson would have in today’s game. Granted he got on base via walks a ton
The issue is that they average slightly more runs per game playing this new style of baseball even with the shifts.I'm old school and I hate watching a MLB game and almost every at bat involves a defensive shift and the batter proceeds to hit into the shift.
