Nip is a racial slur? Man, what isn't a racial slur?

To answer my own question, Germ would have been a perfect slur for Germans during the WW. How do all these other random words get turned into slurs and stricken from acceptable speech, but a slur that basically wrote itself never got adopted?

Kraut was a great word for the Germans. It's ok though. I can say that because I German.

Wow - again thanks! Your sharing this means a great deal to us. You have hit our grandson's situation 100% as it was with your daughter. The exact same things - math, handwriting, riding a bike (just now getting it figured out) and tying shoes. We are having him tutored this summer in math. He will zone out and we think he is ignoring us. We are learning he is not, it's the absence seizures. His pediatrician and specialist are working on dosage and which med works best for him. Has another EEG scheduled this fall. He's underweight due to sensory issues from birth. They have him on a med to increase his appetite, which is working, but getting the balance with the seizure med has been tricky.
Once they got my daughter’s meds regulated….. she still had them occasionally for a little over a year, if I am remembering correctly….My daughter had the irregular brain activity for about 4 years after being diagnosed….. it’s more scary than anything….. just have to watch them close…. My daughter had one while swimming and started to sink but they just last a moment or two.

I have seen highlights from Hooker at VT and Milton at Michigan, safe to say I think it should be HB after seeing everyone’s highlights
I love HB, but I’m still open to Milton in part because Harbaugh’s development of QBs has been hot garbage. I’m giving all these kids a blank slate.

Apparently ******* is bad to say. . . unless you are a ******* yourself.

Haha volnation thinks so too. Slang term from the French word connasse, related to cajuns.

Edit: Wow, that is a bad bad French word! Had no idea.

Maybe not, the ******s may have thrown me off, but regardless I wasn’t going to elaborate further
Yeah. I didn't think it would be blocked on here. Lifelong friend of mine is from a Cajun family and they all call each other that.

I explained a little more in the post. Didn't want anyone getting the wrong idea of what I meant.

I have already passed this on to our daughter and SIL and it has made their day. Thank you. Identical situation. The med has reduced the events, but they still happen. They want him to take it for awhile and adjust the dosage before they test again unless he gets worse. Once they test they will know if that med is getting it done or if they need to try a different one. I will tell them to watch him close when swimming - good advice.

It really is what they call each other in that culture. First time I heard it I thought, man, that was rude. I guess they saw my reaction and laughed at me. Said it was just how they talked to and about each other. Didn't mean a thing.

He his 3 shots off the lead against a guy known for choking…

Spieth has been my favorite since he hit the tour. But he has not been able to get out of his own head for awhile now. Will see if he does tomorrow, if he's not too far behind. Dumb decisions and missing 2 footers will not win tournaments.
