We HAVE to win now to prepare for this ********. I would say Heupel's job just got harder, but hopefully our team is built up by that point.
What is up with divisions being called pods? This is all what if, not saying I want it to happen, but I'd divide the pods differently for geography.
Pod A: Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, South Carolina
Pod B: Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama
Pod C: LSU, Ole Miss, Miss St, Arkansas
Pod D: TAMU, Mizzou, Texas, Oklahoma
Just quote me why don't youThis is all what if, not saying I want it to happen, but I'd divide the pods differently for geography.

Do you keep the SEC championship game or just go to the playoffs? If you keep it, just the 2 with the best record? This is honestly the best idea I’ve seenView attachment 381955
They won't split Auburn and Bama. The Iron Bowl is considered a bigger rivalry game than the Third Saturday in October.I know they wouldn’t do this, but if you look at the map geographically it should look like this:
North- UT, Vandy, Mizzou, UK
South- Bama, LSU, Ole Miss, Miss St
East- UGA, SC, UF, Auburn
West- A&M, TX, OU, Arky
Selecting random team would become become very interesting.Maybe they should seed teams each year, based on 4-yr rolling conference records. Then you play the 3 other teams from your seed group, and 2 random teams from each of the other seed groupings.
They could even televise the schedule drawing each year.
Afraid they are going to have to try to sell keeping the main rivalries.Maybe they should seed teams each year, based on 4-yr rolling conference records. Then you play the 3 other teams from your seed group, and 2 random teams from each of the other seed groupings.
They could even televise the schedule drawing each year.
