Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but I think it's official they aren't joining until 2025. Unless I'm misunderstanding anyway.

We are currently at 82 scholarship players on the roster. However 11 of those are seniors that do not count against the 85 roster this year due to the free extra year all players got back from Covid last year. NCAA made a Covid rule that seniors will not count against the 85 total in 2021.

So officially, we only have 71 scholarship players on the roster this year + 11 seniors that don't count against the 85. So we could lose 14 scholarships in 2021 and it wouldn't change the roster at all.

Then you give 4 walk-ons scholarships, say we fired everyone involved in the fiasco, and we reduced scholarships by 10. No more punishment needed, and end this whole thing. Then we are still in the same place as we are now

Meh, I have no control over what happens.
I’m not gonna worry over what schools are added as long as Tennessee is still in the SEC.
I would be upset if we tucked tail and ran to a different conference.

Texas & Bama were already scheduled to play as a non-con game for 2022 & 2023, so they may work that in to minimize scheduling disruptions. If they're doing divisions with a 9 game conference schedule, that would only leave Texas one more game with the East.

How much I would give for OU or TX to beat Bama and run Saban off. He may take a page out of Roy and Coach K's playbook and decide he'd rather retire than deal with all of this mess. Going to feel even more like a young man's game to a bunch of old school guys.
