I would think that is most ridiculous, dumbest thing I had ever heard…..Mentally toughness needs to be taught and encouraged…..allowing excuses encourages the opposite….. it is a very creative excuse for her quitting though.
The excuses for that girl are some of the most ridiculous crap I have ever heard.."she thinks the balance beam is six feet instead of four"?..what in the hell are they thinking?

They get mad for us calling her a quitter...when she literally QUIT in the middle of the Olympics..

This world has gone insane...

Not mad, just think it makes you look pretty silly, and pretty ignorant.

But you’ve really leaned into this “grumpy about everything except the Grand Canyon” character, so I guess it’s not surprising.

I'm not talking about this Biles thing anymore..I don't buy the post-fallout excuses, but some do, I think it is a load of ass covering crap. Whatever..she went there, then she quit.

If she was discouraged from competition for medical reasons, by actual medical staff...then I take back everything I have said about her.

Done..

Yep, I agree…..people always look for reasons even when the answer is usually something simple.

Headline - "Vol QB Race Closing In On a Leader?"

Article:

"Breaking news - Harrison Bailey took his OL out to dinner...as shown here in this picture.

[add filler paragraph describing HB's height, weight, age, college major, favorite color, HS history]

Is he now the leader in the QB room? Discuss below in the comments!"

Copy and paste into a Dan Harralson "article".
I hate it when I'm tricked into clicking on one of his articles. Its literally nothing every time!

An off day in gymnastics isn't like an off day in other sports. A baseball slugger has an off day he might go 0-4 at the plate. An NFL QB has an off day and he might throw 4 INTs. A gymnast has an off day and she might break a bone or end up paralyzed.

yeah, you're actually making my point. in her career, biles has run herd over the entire sport of gymnastics. 30 olympic and world championship medals. most decorated gymnast in US history. Has FOUR skills named after her that had never been done before. she IS the jordan (and dr J, and magic, and bird, and kobe, and lebron and whoever else) of gymnastics. seeing people question her drive appears to me like anyone questioning jordans (and yeah, it says more about them than her). and i know its just because no one pays attention to gymnastics or knew anything about her at all, but when trying to explain her dominance doesn't get anywhere, stretches are made to try to bridge the two. so yeah, bad analogy i guess, but y'all aren't getting it anyway.
You don’t have a SINGLE EXAMPLE of him quitting IN THE MIDDLE of competition…cuz it didn’t happen. So there’s a wide chasm between saying I made your point and the actual point. Now if you’d used Lebron? 🤔

It’s a fear thing….. happens in all sports…. Still doesn’t change my opinion on her bailing….. tired of discussing it as I am a Biles fan and hope she can move past this.
It’s a bad occurrence in an otherwise stellar career. If some would abandon their urgency to declare it heroism, it would fizzle out whenever the next shiny thing makes a debut.

Definitely never left a game in the first quarter bc of…cRaMpS lol.

Remember the Time Michael Jordan Left an NBA Finals Game Due to Cramps?

Thought you’d be smarter than to make absolute statements like that after giving me **** about it.
LOL! Did you read that?

As it happens, Jordan did struggle with cramping at least once during his six Finals appearances. In Game 4 of the 1997 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz—just three nights before MJ's famed "Flu Game"—Jordan and his teammates succumbed to debilitating stomach cramps due to an error by the Bulls staff. Here's Roland Lazenby's account of the incident from his new book, Michael Jordan: The Life (h/t Pro Basketball Talk's Dan Feldman): It would later be learned that a Bulls team assistant had mistakenly replaced the players’ Gatorade with GatorLode, a heavy drink used for building carbs. “It was like eating baked potatoes,” explained trainer Chip Schaeffer. Down the stretch, Chicago’s players complained of stomach cramps and Jordan even asked to sit for a time, something he never did at a key moment. Jordan finished with 22 points on 11-of-27 shooting—without a single trip to the free-throw line—in Chicago's 78-73 defeat.

Jordan was able to follow up his "Cramp Game" with 38 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals while fighting through the flu—or food poisoning..

I'm not getting into this completely foolish debate, but dude, don't compare Jordan with what happened with Biles. The GOAT can't compare. Sorry.
