Sounding like a broken record at this point but if 6 wins is a "miracle season" to anyone, I suggest they take out a second mortgage and go to Vegas because every total I've seen has us at 6 or 6.5.

6 wins leaves CJH in wait and see mode. Less than that means he probably isn't going to be the guy. Just is what it is. 7 or more is a reason to be extremely optimistic about the future.

We've built in this "impossible rebuild" excuse for our last three coaches. We've realized the coaches sucked and got rid of them, but we've somehow held on to this absurd idea that we are in some giant pit of a hole and it will take 5 years to have a winning season again.

we've somehow held on to this absurd idea that we are in some giant pit of a hole and it will take 5 years to have a winning season again.

Since 2007, we’ve had 5 winning seasons.

I think we will have another earlier than 5 years for sure (and maybe even this year), but anyone who thinks our program is currently attractive to elite coaches and that any old coach can come here and win fast has their head in the sand.

This rebuild will take time.
