On Swain today:

“There’s not a coach in America that is happy with the first scrimmage in Fall camp”

“Defense won the day”…”but that’s the way it’s supposed to be” (in 1st scrimmage). “You want back and forth, I expect the offense in the next scrimmage to win the day”

“Heupel is super optimistic” and confident in his offense. He’s not worried about defense winning the day”

“D Terry had a pretty good day, explains why the Oline had issues with penalies being disruptive”

“Defense typically wins first scrimmage because the Oline is like a synchronized swimming team, all guys have to be one”

“He expects the offense to respond and play well next scrimmage”. “You want correctable film”
Ben:

“Sloppiness on offense, unforced penalies, false starts, (delay of games 😂), main issues on offensive line”

“Byron Young and Roman Harrison creating havoc on defense”

All QBs had ups and downs. Hooker was most consistent, but is he going to continue to be aggressive and push the ball?, he’s been better at that in Fall camp

From FF. Thanks for the summary.

Or it's racial pandering just like it says in the description. If they truly wanted statues for "racial equality" then all 4 wouldn't be AAs

I think "pandering" is probably a bit strong of a word, but I do actually understand your point. To your knowledge, has Tennessee had any Hispanic players achieve historic firsts in the SEC like these four guys did? Who do you think should be honored? Im sincerely asking.

Given the offense is designed to spread the defense and exploit those weaknesses, I like that the defense was able to disrupt the LOS. Hopefully it's because they are good and not because the O is floundering.

Practicing at the game speed of our offense should make defending other teams a bit easier. It may take longer for the offense to start rolling, but Heupel thinks it will come together before the first game.

These coaches seem to have a good plan and are effecting it well. It's great to know that they're preparing and expecting to win now. So tired of the "year zeros" and the "in a couple years, with players who've been in the system."

I've got $2 Stanley Nickels that we whip the Gators.

Lots of great mdma studies happening right now. Most is PTSD / trauma related. Mdma has loads of potential as a therapeutic.
I wonder which company is sponsoring the trial? They have a bunch of different studies and add new ones all the time. I've known Dr. Smith for a while and he makes a good point; If someone is out of work or needs a boost of income, the studies are great.

I've sent a couple people there. They take a week or 2 of vacation and join the study. Just have to be drug free and healthy.

One buddy did one that paid him $9,000. Another guy did a smoking study, where he just stayed there and smoked for like a week. He just gave them his pee in the morning and before bed and got $5,000. I'm surprised college students/athletes aren't all over these studies.

I can't even find who the first Hispanic football player for the Vols is. Hopefully someone can find it because now I'm curious. Rivera and Reveiz are the ones who pop up the most. I even saw a website say Foster was Hispanic

As a Hispanic I feel left out during all of this racial pandering
It's an honor for this university to be able to permanently recognize the impact of these men in such a powerful way," [Danny] White said. "We are proud of what their names represent, and I believe this is a fitting tribute. They carried themselves with strength and grace as they led the way for so many others. I love that our football student-athletes will pass by this installation during every Vol Walk. I hope it serves as a reminder of those who came before them and paved the way for progress."

A nod to Tennessee Athletics' innovative and progressive history—which it aims to restore under White's leadership—the project is one of the first initiatives funded through the My All Campaign. A dedication ceremony during which the statues will be unveiled will take place on Sept. 2 before Tennessee's football season-opener against Bowling Green.

1968 – Tennessee sophomore wingback Lester McClain—who in 1967 became the program's first Black player—also made history as the first Black SEC player to score a touchdown when he hauled in his first of two scoring receptions during UT's 24-7 win at Georgia Tech on Oct. 12, 1968.

1970 – Knoxville native Jackie Walker earned distinction as the SEC's first Black football All-American after leading a formidable Tennessee defense as an explosive junior linebacker with a knack for snagging interceptions.

1972 – With a national TV audience tuned in, Tennessee sophomore Condredge Holloway dazzled during a dominant, 34-3 season-opening victory at Georgia Tech on Sept. 9, 1972, while becoming the first Black player to start at quarterback on an SEC team.

1999 – After guiding Tennessee to an undefeated 1998 season and an SEC Championship, junior Tee Martin made history as the first Black quarterback to lead an SEC team to a National Championship by guiding the Volunteers to a 23-16 triumph over Florida State in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 4, 1999.

MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) sponsors the large majority of MDMA studies around the USA. From what you mentioned it kind of sounds like something they’d be in on.

I'd say you're right. It's surprising at how powerful some of these companies are and no one has heard of them.

Altria is one and if you look into them a little, you'll see that they are massive. . . Philip Morris USA; U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company; John Middleton; Helix Innovations; Ste. Michelle Wine Estates and Philip Morris Capital Corporation. Altria's net revenue amounted to approximately 26.15 billion U.S. dollars in 2020, gaining more than $1,000,000,000 from 2019.
