*checks airfares to Indianapolis for early JanuaryFrom what I hear, practice went really good today….. Same order for QBs….. all solid with Milton looking like the best QB we have…..red zone offense was really good….Payton and Tillman both went off…Defense looked good and offensive line was solid…..There were some turnovers where the ball bounced off some smaller receivers hands…… he said he hopes the Team gains consistency.
Tell him I’m going to need the receivers to cut that crap out. ThanksFrom what I hear, practice went really good today….. Interesting considering Merritt is support staff…as well as Pope.Joey Halzle, Jerry Mack, and Matt Merritt are listed as rising stars. Kelsey Pope is also mentioned.
50 rising-star position coaches you need to know
You don’t hear the Fitz like hype with Schmidt…just observable results.More reason not to hold last season against this team. Not only did they quit on JG and Pruitt, but they were clearly not prepared. DW was over 360 after the covid break, he's now down to 322 and is moving better than he ever has. I bet there's stories similar to that all over this team.
Nobody was talking about lack of talent at halftime against GA last year. This team is better than people give them credit for. We lost Henry. That doesn't mean suddenly this team is depleted. Last year we didn't have Evans, we didn't have Young, we didn't have Milton, guys who will be big contributors this year were covid freshman such as Baron, Calloway, and Eason.
Not to mention the massive upgrades in coaching at QB, OL, DL, LB, and OC.
We're going to surprise.
I don't think Craig Fitzgerald has or has ever had a Twitter account.Does his work in silence instead of on twitter
you are probably right.. it felt like all we saw for 2 straight years was hype videos with Fitz square in the middle of most of them..I don't think Craig Fitzgerald has or has ever had a Twitter account.
He was a decent SC coach. I think a lot of his "hype" was just preseason expectations had to come from somewhere, and there wasn't much on the field to be positive about, so they resorted to a bunch of weight room highlight reels. I don't think that 2019 rebound with all of those 4Q wins can happen with a team that is out of shape.
If offseason workouts are translating to the field, everyone is just going to talk about what's on the field, not the offseason workouts.

Heupel to other SEC team's fan bases this season....More reason not to hold last season against this team. Not only did they quit on JG and Pruitt, but they were clearly not prepared.
