Lol what. Lincoln is as big as Knoxville and Eugene is a major metropolitan city that is home to a few Fortune 500 companies like Nike.

I don't know about Oregon, but I can attest to the Nebraska part. I drove to Omaha for UT's first game in CWS, and those states are sparse. If you look it up, Lincoln has metro population of 302k while Knoxville has a metro population of 800k+. However, Omaha is a little less than a hour from Lincoln and has about a million.

I have Hulu Live and am thinking about getting an ESPN+ subscription. It's only like $7/month....is it worth it?

I obviously like college sports, but I am also a big NHL and soccer fan.
you'll need peacock and/or NBCSN for the english premier league. NBCSN might already be included with Hulu

But let's be real the context is different. Yes, Lincoln is as big as Knoxville, but the next closest MAJOR city is Kansas City 4 hours away with Denver and St. Louis 6.5-7 hrs away.

How many major cities are within that range for Knoxville?

This is it. Some of the people pumping the most sunshine will be some of the most vicious if we don’t live up to the fantasy they’ve constructed.
I know that and you know that...but they don't yet. What pisses me off is when they say we are "hoping" to have a bad record so we can be right...I would give my right arm to be wrong, I would gladly like to go to an all you eat crow buffet..

But that is probably not happening..and that is honesty.

Do you know why Nebraska can't do well? It's because of this simple fact, WHO in their right mind would go to Nebraska to play football? There is nothing there. It's like Oregon for example.
Nebraska sucks but Eugene is a very cool area. It's not hard to see why kids would wanna live there. uegene.jpg

So the reason no one can talk about something good that may happen is because someone can't handle it if it doesn't happen? I just put those on ignore and continue looking for good things that may happen..... The other way you have to be miserable 90% of the time.

It ain't got anything to do with being a "killjoy"..I don't know about that guy, but for me it seems like the guys with inflated expectations are the worst ones to turn toxic when those expectations aren't met. I hope we win big, but I don't think there is a snowballs chance this year with so much change, uncertainty and depth problems.

But you do you..
When it’s obvious they need to move on, there’s no extra credit given for being dead silent in the background.

Don't forget those mild Nebraska winters make it special

I liked visiting a few places in Nebraska when we drove through. IMO the absolute butthole of America is the Mississippi and Louisiana area..and even they have a few really beautiful and interesting spots.

Zaxby's signing Georgia's QB is 100% a shot at Chick-fil-a.

Chick-fil-a should turn around an sign the star player from every other SEC team and put their faces on billboards and commercials all over the Southeast.
I don't think Chick-fil-a has too much to worry about with Zax... how do you spell it... Zaxby's

I don't get the lust for big cities.

Well, honestly some do believe with good QB play and good coaches the team could get to 7-8 wins, but nobody knows yet. We have people at 4 wins all the way up to 9. My problem is anytime someone gives a good report on say the QB, and others start talking about if the QB does well then this could happen.....Someone has to jump in to remind people that good things have not happened for us in over a decade so don't go expecting that they can. Let people talk about possibilities. We will know soon enough.

That goes both ways my dear...
