Recruiting Forum Football Talk III

From everything I've seen so far via reports and videos, it looks like at the very least, this entire team is finally bought in with this staff (who is actually teaching and developing these players) and will be fighting for each other from whistle to whistle... And that is something worth rooting for--- we've missed that for years...Everyone on the same page with the same goal... Sure we all want 7-8-9, even 10 wins, but at this point I'd just like to see my UT team fight every opponent tooth and nail and leave it all on the field. G....B....O....

I'm sticking with 7-5 or better, barring injury.
Who would you say are the critical injury risks this year (guys that, if injured, the dropoff would be considerable)? During the Butch years I always thought Dobbs...Kamara...Hurd. Man were we lucky (especially with Butch's god awful injury track record).

I'll go with:
Milton
LT/RT
Either starting LB

Not sure if there's a bigly noticeable drop off anywhere else on the roster. A combination of decent depth...but also a lack of true star talent.

Ok...at some point life has to go on and stop being held hostage by this thing.
I am not referencing the need for protocols. That is another discussion on which we probably agree. Protocols were in place and teams had to follow them. A few coaches and staffs disregarded them and tried to get a recruiting advantage. The majority followed the protocols. Some who did not follow Covid recruiting and practice protocols have already faced discipline. More are yet to come.

I don’t want him fired. God forbid they get someone that can actually coach
Maybe, but his recruiting is so good...makes em tough to beat. I'd take a Richt team with top 6-10 classes. They were much more beatable for us. Now they pick up 4-5+ 5 stars a year. That's just tough to beat.

Clemson absolutely throttling UGA feels like something that could derail their season and possibly get Kirby **** canned.

Wishful thinking but I'm here for it.

I feel like Buzz Killington here but saying there's 0% chance Kirby is fired doesn't even do it justice. It's like dividing by 0, it just cannot be done.

So Florida has OL issues, a QB with questionable throwing ability, unproven talent at WR and TE, and a solid RB room. But, those OL issues. Boys, FL is a win this year. Yep.

They will also get mentally and physically beat down the week before....smelling blood here. Their defense will be decent but not great also.

Emory Jones is the classic backup UF guy that sucks...then houses an 80 yd run 😔 Concerned about our LBs vs him. Our DL needs to dominate that game and not let him get that far.

There's still one but I'm not there. As long as I can keep it relatively under control, don't want to start poking around in there again.
Some were a help, others just caused unnecessary misery.
I'm a UT fan, not adding any more unnecessary misery.
😘 you know your VolNation family is here to help! 🧡
