I didn't follow him much during Pruitt, so I can't say for sure on that. But he was pretty critical of Butch and Dooley as far as practice routines, fundamentals, stuff like that, even when they were new and people still liked them.

That he was. He always has good insight into the team. IIRC, if he wasn’t enthused with a certain position group, that often turned out true. Can’t remember, but he basically guarded Fulmer a lot, never any coach. He was blunt.

Yeah, UK could be a solid team if they have an actual offense and QB. Gran held them back for so long with that garbage offense. Their defense will be somewhat stingy as usual. But their offense will probably take a year to get implemented.

10 regular season wins is beyond LMFAO.

Do you know who that OC is? Maybe he does well. But he was the Rams’ assistant QB coach. Yes, assistant position coach. I know everyone starts somewhere, but he’s jumping to the SEC.

He was Maine's OC 16 and 17. Took their offense from 15 ppg year before to....22 ppg in 2016....to wait for it.....24 ppg in 2017 lol.

I mean, I'm sure he picked up a bunch of things with the Rams, but he hasn't proven he can kill it as an OC. Sadly, still probably a quarter-step better than Gran. Who wouldn't be?

Sports news is an anomaly though. Even if short-term nega news were to get a lot of clicks, people will leave eventually. There was a literal exodus on 247 after the Travis Haney article, while Rivals grew thanks to subs moving there. People don't want to read people shiz all over their team time and time again. Fans at least want some hope. Some want it "real and raw" but not everyone...not by a mile.

Good point. Yeah hopefully Stoops. He was better at Cincy, after all. Whatever that scheme was...was just awful. I'm sure they'll open up some, but Stoops will be a typical DC at HC and hurt the offense.

I saw where Ubben is leaving, and from what I understand, there are no plans for a replacement. If true, we’ve fallen further than I imagined. In here, many are celebrating his departure because he was “too negative” but on Reddit the Vol fans are upset to see him go because he is an excellent writer and provided great coverage. He just didn’t write the stories we wanted to read. However, all we’ve done is lose in embarrassing ways and get ourselves into NCAA trouble so I don’t know what some people expect.

It makes no sense. They won 4 games last year and had to have JG give them one to do that. Their defense was okay last year but they lost their best players. Their offense ranked as low as ours last year and we had JG and Pruitt running a high school offense. Think about how bad you have to be to match that. The difference is, we hired the guy who has coached top offenses everywhere he's ever been, and has coached and developed two Heisman QB's and multiple draft picks to coach our team.

They hired the assistant WR/QB coach from the Rams who has never called plays any level above the FCS, and when he called plays there, his offense ranked 58th in the FCS.

It's literally insanity to think they're going to be any good, let alone go 10-2.

Dozens missing and death toll over 10 last I saw in Waverly, TN.

McEwen recieved 17" of rain in under 24hrs yesterday. Dickson, Humphreys, Houston, and Hickman Counties had catastrophic flash flooding.

For reference, the Nashville flood of 2010 had a 24hr record of only 9.25", and only recieved 13.57" in 48hrs. This event shattered it. Nobody was prepared.

Update on this storm: Waverly was impacted so severely because the small creek that runs through town passes under a railroad upstream. That bridge got blocked by debris and formed a lake, but you couldn't see that from the road or town. If anyone is familiar with Waverly, the railroad runs parallel with Hwy70 and town, and is higher. Essentially, the railroad was a levee.

The levee broke, washed out the tracks, and a wall of water rushed across and down Hwy70 straight through the middle of town. Washing cars, homes, utility poles and people away. It was a true flash flood that nobody could see coming.
