Just the thought of watching JP do this is hilarious

Saban wouldn't either. But we didn't need JP to do it at the time. However, now that we are cemented to the bottom of the SEC, we need to change the way we do things. The focus isn't as much winning right now, it's just having fun. Gotta start somewhere!

A couple of things, and you can take me at my word or dismiss me as making it all up, which would be weird.

Bailey and his family were very upset that Pruitt was fired. As his dad said when the rumors were running rampant, "we signed with Tennessee because of Jeremy Pruitt." They were assured by Fulmer that Pruitt was going to be fine multiple times - we know how that story ended. They were going to enter the portal at that time, but figured he should stay in school and complete the Spring semester before making a decision. I think that was smart, and what guys like Crouch and Henry should have done.

As @Bassmaster_Vol posted above, Bailey has not been totally consistent this spring. There were times he was running with the 3rd string behind Hooker and Maurer. He showed out in the Spring game, absolutely, but I don't think it was totally representative of how he performed throughout Spring ball or where he stands in the pecking order. The VQ guys have been adamant that if the season started today, Hooker would be the starter. You can tell me they're wrong on this, but I don't think they are.

There's a reason why Heupel was so desperate to bring Milton in - someone far from a polished product or a sure thing. Simply put, he doesn't like what he has at the position. And I believe he is preparing for one or two of them to leave on their own.
Bailey isn’t leaving.

You're entitled to your opinion. However, coaches tend to play the players who perform the best at practice. They have more confidence in those players and it helps build a culture based on competition. It doesn't sit right with others on the team when someone who doesn't perform day-to-day gets the start on game day. All I am saying is it is more likely that this competition will get settled in practice than by overanalyzing a spring game performance. Idc who starts at QB, but anointing Bailey as the clear starter after a meaningless spring game is premature.
we seen how well that worked out last year

CJH: Quick decisive leader. Someone who can read the defensive alignments enough to exploit the mismatch presented.

CJP: ball control, no mistakes. He emphasized the mistake free goal so much that that is all that he got from his QB.

Playing to win vs playing not to lose. With one, we will see. The other, we know didn’t work, out.

If a Current QB is scared off by Joe Milton then they weren’t leading us to where we need to be anyway. Not anything against what Joe could be or his potential because he has a lot of potential to be good. But nobody should be scared of a guy that lost his starting job and only had 4 TD passes. That should be an easy sell for Jh. I think this is more about Salter

Okay, I'm having trouble seeing how Milton is so much better than what we have or what we had. Comparing Milton(first screenshot) to Guarantano(second screenshot), I'm having problems getting all excited about this kid. Frankly, I gotta wonder if he's actually an upgrade and if so, how??
