We’re still chasing the mystery interview from this morning, but after talking to multiple folks connected to Washington and recruiting on the West Coast, we do not believe Petersen met with Phillip Fulmer this morning in Dallas, Texas.

It’s unknown if they’ve spoken at all, but according to those we talked with, Petersen was scheduled to be close to campus recruiting this morning and is set to visit a prospect in Utah tonight with linebackers coach Bob Gregory.

SMU should be pretty good next year with all they return. As I posted earlier, the year before he got there they averaged 11 points a game and gave up 42. That was 128th and 127th in the nation. They raised their ppg average by 17 points in his 1st year. His offense is known to work against SEC defenses. He beat LSU, AU, South Carolina, and UGA while at Clemson. His offense that he designed put up over 500 yards two years in a row against Bama.

I'm not bashing him. He just doesn't move the needle of excitement. But like I said I could easily be sold if he were the guy.
