Probably unpopular opinion but I see it the other way. I didn’t think it was cool for Cut to not coach in our NC game. You get to pinnacle, what you’ve been working so hard for, and then your coordinator bails?

Isn’t gonna make that much difference to a 4-8 team if the coach is there 100% of the time in December, but it could mean missing out on a NC to the players and team he’s been coaching

Not just the team, but the coach himself too. Gotta wonder if Cutcliffe regrets not being in the booth for that game...

Yeah but no thanks on a meh HC hire. The idea behind hiring an elite coordinator is that they might end up being just as good as a HC. We all know DH's ceiling and it's not good enough. Rather gamble on Pruitt.
