Thread on BOL (Bama 247 site) by a seemingly respected poster says deal is dead.

Said he was told at 3pm today Pruitt would be our next coach if just a couple things could get worked out. Has heard they couldn’t.

Someone else said Pruitt didn’t want to leave right away and didn’t want any staffers forced on him and the OP responded that he was correct.

Now, I have a hard time believing they got this far in negotiations without things like that already being worked out but again, TIFWIW.
