Just based on a gut guess, Id say we had around 5-ish per year. Hendrix, Peterman, Hurd, Boulware, Cremer, Wharton, Helm, and Sheriron Jones (twice) are all names that jumped out at me. I think less will want to transfer under Pruitt as most of these saw through the salesman persona of Butch...or received verbal abuse.
Edit: thats one helluva list. ⬆️
I realize this is from a few pages ago, and conversation has kinda moved on. Add to this that I don't want to start a witch-hunt as far as WHO maybe transferring out, just curious to see if maybe there's something to glean as far as numbers go.
I looked through previous recruiting classes and to the best of my knowledge (which isn't perfect, I forget things a lot) tried to pick out all the players who wound up transferring or otherwise did not graduate from Tennessee. Here's the list:
From the 2013 class: 6 out of 23
4* DE Jason Carr
3* QB Riley Furgeson
3* WR Alphonso Carter
3* S Lemond Johnson
3* DE Jaylon Miller
3* DE Malik Brown
From the 2014 class: 10 out of 32
4* RB Jalen Hurd
4* DE Dewayne Hendrix
4* RB Derrell Scott
4* TE Daniel Helm
4* CB D'Andre Payne
4* DT Charles Moseley
3* DT Michael Sawyers
3* WR Vic Wharton
3* ATH Neiko Creamer
3* OL Ray Raulerson
From the 2015 class: 11 out of 29
4* WR Preston Williams
4* QB Sheriron Jones
4* QB Quentin Dormady
3* DT Venzell Boulware
3* DT Quay Picou
3* TE Kyle Oliver
3* S Stephen Griffin
3* ATH Vincent Perry
3* CB Darrell Miller
3* P Tommy Townsend
2* RB Joe Young
From the 2016 class: 2 out of 22
3* DE Mykelle McDaniel
3* RB Jeremy Lewis
To my knowledge all of the 2017 class so far has stuck around. There were 27 in that class.
This doesn't include four cases-- Drae Bowles (previous staff recruit, Butch PR nightmare), Treyvon Paulk (domestic violence incident, kicked off the team), and Andrew Butcher and Jack Jones (medical retirements, both still graduated?)
I'm also not counting those who didn't make it onto campus (Bembry in 2017, Joe Henderson in like, 2014?)
These do seem like staggering numbers, but I thought I read something on r/cfb a couple years ago where typical attrition from class to class can be a quarter to a third of recruits. Every team has academic casualties, those who want more opportunity for playing time, or knuckleheads that get in trouble. I think what's more staggering is the LACK of attrition over the last two cycles.
It will be interesting to see what the roster looks like come fall 2019, let alone this coming football season.

Good work there, bud. The problem that jumps out at me is there were a good number of highly regarded recruits in '14 and '15 on that list. Guys that should be the core of the team. IMO some of them probably don't wash out if the program had been handled well.
We will see who are not cut out for CJP's program soon. Will be interesting.

Yeah, like I said in that post, pretty much every school can bank on 25% of each class NOT completing their career at the school.
What kills me are things like OL Austin Sanders a 0.8793 3* in 2013, who should've developed, but didn't see a single snap his entire career. Dillon Bates (fingers crossed he gets it figured out this year), Dontavious Blair, Gavin Bryant (0.9014 4* at LB, a position we've sucked at since JRM), Sawyers, who showed a lot of potential as a true freshman. If we had any semblance of training and development, we'd have been a lot better off.
Anybody else remember Sanders' dad on here at times mentioning how the things they were being told by the staff and the guys who were being played over Sanders not adding up?Yeah, like I said in that post, pretty much every school can bank on 25% of each class NOT completing their career at the school.

Stole a gaming console and got Coleman Thomas to take it into a GameStop to sell it. They prolly expected him not to do that?
