I just want to hear one thought out response to beating this warriors team. All you hear is his past era teams would body slam and pile drive them up and down the court Bc they were just so mean and tough.

The Era is irrelevant. Even Steve Kerr said this last night "I'm glad I played 20 years ago, I couldn't play today".

Take the 96 bulls. Jordan would get the better of Klay but Durant would get the better of pippen so call that a wash.

Dramond would make Rodman irrelevant Bc he would take him away from the rim and rebounds. Lord knows he was a non factor on offense anyways. They stretch the floor better than any team ever and it’s not close so you have all that spacing that you can’t rebound then you’re stuck guarding Durant 1v1 and all game.

The warriors are maybe my most hated team I’ve ever seen so no bias here either

I think the one team that could give the warriors the most fits could be the like 2000 lakers. Shaq May have been the most dominant player ever at his peak and GS literally has no chance of guardijbg him. But even then idk if they could keep up with GS 3pt shooting.

I watched Jordan at the peak and remember it well. So the millennial fallback generational argument isn’t going to work. That’s why i asked for an actual strategic argument on guarding GS

Rodmans abilities are hard to quantify to someone who didn't watch him..he was a freak of nature.

Let me give you an example. The mid-late 80’s Lakers with Kareem, Magic, Worthy, etc. had guys playing as role players who would have starred on lesser teams. Shucks, even Magic was just a facilitator at times. Magic would possibly be considered the GOAT had he not come to play on a team with Kareem already on it. That was Kareem’s team, but Magic was the glue that made it work. Throw in guys like Worthy and Cooper, guys who were relegated to support players but were stars in any other setting.

But maybe the ‘96 Bulls would be an even better example based on matchup alone. Rodman was reduced to his role precisely because he didn’t need to be a scorer. He would have Draymond ejected from the series by the second quarter of the first game, as his play embodied the Bad Boy Pistons. Kukoc was one of the first of his kind to be a tall, versatile player, and would match up well on KD. The matchup with Jordan and Pippen versus Curry and Thompson would be must see tv.
