as an everyday though, it's hard to beat a grilled Tuna Steak or Salmon filet.

but if we're going in to seafood, not just fish....there's not much i don't like. especially if it's low country or cajun.

Mitch White tweeted that a recruit told him there’s a big name committing. Mitch is connected in Memphis.

He's money. But when did he say that? He mentioned on the VQ on Sunday morning one was coming but that was before Henry committed. I was assuming that is who he was talking about.

halibut >>>>>> any and all fish

:puke5:

Of non-crustaceans, I prefer salmon or flounder.

But if I have to have seafood, I'd rather it be shrimp or crab. The occasional order of fried clams is pretty good, too.

:)

Dude you realize that flounder is just a poor man's halibut right?

I was not aware of that...but I've eaten both. And I like flounder, and thought halibut was gross. I will admit, though, that I've only tried it once.

This is the first food conversation that has made me hungry

yeah, this is getting in to the territory of one of my biggest weaknesses.

crawfish, oysters, crab, lobster, mussels, shrimp.....boiled, fried, grilled, stewed, steamed...whatever.

this is why i couldn't live around Charleston, Hilton Head or Savannah or along the GUlf Coast between Mobile and New Orleans.

i'd be 400lbs and dead w/in a month.

Halibut is just whiter, flakier and better than flounder. Id like to know where and how you had it, sounds like maybe behind a Kroger's.

Best meats

1. Bacon
2. Elk steak
3. Ribeye (DO NOT OVERCOOK)
4. Deer steak
5. Anything wrapped in bacon.

Freshwater fish

1. Fried trout (must be fresh, hopefully swimming 20 minutes before)
2. Crappie
3. Walleye
4. Catfish
5. Bream

Seafood
1. Grouper
2. Mahi mahi
3. Grilled tuna steaks
4. Snapper
5. Orange roughy (surprisingly good)

And then you have crayfish (hard to beat) oysters, king, stone and blue crab. And all the mussel family.

Never had abalone so can't give a opinion on it.

Not a fan of scallops. Maybe it has been the way it was prepared.

Tbh, there are tons of good choices out there. A lot has to do with the cook.

oh, forgot about scallops. mmm. and they're easy. i do a blackened seasoning in a pan, with some oil or butter. just gotta be careful not to overcook.

and you gotta get the big fat ones. screw those little ones. they suck.

and calamari. love good calamari. lightly fried, don't make it too tough, otherwise it's like chewing on rubber bands, but when it's done right....hard to beat.

Come on MSME! We're on sushi and other fish and shellfish varieties. Any good stuff down there?

i was never a sushi guy until the past 3-4 years. we have a place down the street that has about 3-4 rolls i love.

couldn't tell you what's in them. honestly, probably don't want to know. but they're fantastic.

But the weather is nicer throughout the year to exercise:)

At least that is what I would tell myself. I do get in a few morning ocean side runs when I go.
