He did identify and snag really good players. He was a good program figure head. He did a bad job of maintaining a winning culture. He had a mixed bag of assistant hires and increasingly got worse. He also won us 9 games, and I'm not going to complain one bit about that given where we've been since 2007. He also left us in a dumpster fire, but how much of that is on the AD too? I'd say quite a bit.

Having said all that, I hope he gets the Maryland job if for no other reason than to help offset some of these millions UT is using to help subsidize his cigar-smoking whistle stop in Alabama.

Not worse coach in history but is a horrible coach when running a program like UT. Had worse season as a coach in UT history. Four and eight. If he’s so good then let’s get him back. He was not a top tier SEC coach period. You keep changing what is being said because you are too stubborn to see your failed narrative.

That’s such a tired stance. It’s one season. Is 4-8 really any different than 5-7 either way you miss a bowl and suck. No one ever said bitch was a top tier sec coach. The whole argument was started by bass saying he was the worst hire in sec history when he wasn’t even the worst hire in Tennessee history. Dooley was worse as a HC than butch in every way possible. That was the argument and it has never changed.
