I actually thought it was a good sign that they didn't quit after spring, that some guys were going to buy in...I was wrong...still the same bunch of unmotivated soft quitters. Botch recruited lazy guys who wanted to goof off in a country club atmosphere.Yep. I thought more of these guys could be developed into serviceable players and leaders. The continued weak mentality and lack of discipline at this point in the season is surprising.

If aliens land tomorrow, and one of the questions they have for the human race is, 'what happened to UT football'...all we have to do is show them a picture of Darwin Walker and Eric Crosby side by side.Posted this in Wanya’s thread but know several have been talking about this pic.

That was me..I said we are both the best fan base in cfb, and the worst. I love the Vols, but I almost think a guy has to be desperate, or insane to take this job.I agree. But patience is something we lack as a fan base. I know, some will jump in and say, "how can you say we lack patience when we're still here after all we've been thru?". That's not patience. We whined and complained every step of the way. Think about it, half way thru his first season we were already scrutinizing every word CJP says and criticizing what we don't agree with. Half way thru his first season some are already doubting that he's the right guy. Luckily it's been relatively few fans doing so, but we do have them. And the numbers will increase with every game that doesn't meet someone's expectations. I love the Vols, but I would never want to be the coach here. I understand perfectly well why Peyton wants no part of it. As someone here said a few days again, we are the best fans in cfb and the worst.
The only thing I'm sure of is that before CJP is done here he will be the most hated hc we've ever had; and it will largely be because of his Bama ties. Some are already chomping at the bits for opportunities to attack.
I was thinking the same thing, myself; but, I do like to be corrected whenever I'm wrong, so I appreciate the shaming.
Sounds like some have really worked hard and done all they can, and Pruitt is upset with how they are affected by the ones that won't.I actually thought it was a good sign that they didn't quit after spring, that some guys were going to buy in...I was wrong...still the same bunch of unmotivated soft quitters. Call me whatever you want, but when I saw this picture the first time, I came to the conclusion Crosby would never contribute herePosted this in Wanya’s thread but know several have been talking about this pic.

It worked out pretty good for Pruitt working like that under Saban...Fair would be smart to sit tight and learn the same way. It’s not unlike every DB coach Alabama has had over the past few years. Saban and Pruitt were the DB coaches.
Fair is a good recruiter and as long as he’s meshing with the staff and can take the semi-ego hit of being the 3rd voice at the position I think he’ll stick around.
Problem is the Bamas, Georgias, etc of world have been doing a good workout program for a lot longer than we have, our guys are so far behind from a strength standpoint.Well as frumpy and oaf-like as we looked under Butch, can’t blame him come Fall ‘19. I want to see if Fitz get the job done. That’s plenty of time to transform most of this team.
