I saw that and disagreed. Crazier things have happened and UGA is certainly capable.

Committee will value a Big 10 title more and a win over Michigan would leap frog them over OU IMO.

I’m not so sure on Oklahoma. I can’t see OU and OSU both winning out and the Buckeyes leapfrogging the Sooners. They’re at #6 and #10 respectively. That’s a huge jump

Committee won’t be able to overlook the Purdue beatdown

I don't think it's that delusional of an opinion though.. Mullen isn't the worst, and Florida could be scary with him if they ever find a QB.

But their expectation is to compete for the CFP at the top of the SEC, and that's a tall order. We talk about players having a killer instinct.. I don't think cheeseball Dan Mullen has that killer instinct or that he brings it out in his players.

A couple of my coworkers are State fans and they still get pissed thinking about Mullen not going for it on 4th down against Bama last year-- a game in which State lost by 7 after giving up 14 points in the 4th quarter.

Purely anecdotal, but I don't think it's delusional.
To say that he'll be considered a giant bust in three years I think is delusional. At this point I don't think he's one of the elite coaches in the game, but he's in the upper tier. You just can't have a run like he did at Mississippi State and not at least be a pretty good coach. If he wins between 7 and 9 in most years at Mississippi State, in the tougher division, he should have Florida winning 9 or 10 a year on the regular. He's probably going to win 8 his first year at Florida, which will likely be the worst team he has there.

Schools like Tennessee and Florida turn respectable coaches into busts, because everything is under a microscope on the biggest stage in CFB.

There's no direct comparison, so don't be too literal about it, but look at Butch, or Charlie Strong at Texas, or Sumlin at A&M. There are parallels.

Of course everyone has their own degree of definition for the word "bust", so make of it what you will. The point stands.
