Notre
Did y’all see the stat the SECN put up about our first win since 2003 against a ranked opponent in November? I was with a friend, and we immediately said that we don’t play ranked opponents in November. I wonder how many we have actually played in 15 years. Maybe a couple of Missouri teams and LSU last year.

Notre Dame in 04 and 05

That stat is lame and misleading. They are gonna keep digging for ways to show how much we have sucked.

Finally saw good movement in the pocket from JG yesterday. He stepped up twice in a row to get us the TD before halftime.

Our boy is growing up.
He obviously has his weaknesses but he’s improved a lot from last year, he’ll continue to improve and hopefully he’s able to take that next step like Dobbs did

Yea the best play he made all game was in the 2nd half i think he stepped up and extended the play and found Calloway on the sideline for like a 12 yard completion. Didn’t seem like much but that was a great play.

JG developing the spider sense to move in the pocket, an offense where our top two TBs are catching big passes out of the backfield, our DBs punching out those balls in the sideline coverage, not to mention improved aggression on both the O line and D Line, just a few developments that are significant. Coaching and play calling are not insignificant here.

If he learns to step up and avoid pressure he’ll be one of the best QBs in the SEC. he’s deadly accurate and tough as nails

He’s #4 in the SEC in rating, #4 In YA, #4 in %, #10 in yards, #9 in TD’s, least amount of INT’s, #6 most times sacked.
FWIW: Dobbs third year in the program he was #8 in rating, #10 in YA, #6 in %, #5 in yards, #6 in TD’s, 2nd least in INT’s, #7 in times sacked.

The next year he went to #1 in rating, #3 in % (but the two guys ahead of him started half a season), #3 YA, #3 in yards, #1 in TD’s, #2 most INT’s, #3 most times sacked.

The QB’s in 2015 and 2016 were also probably a little worse than now
