Hot take: If Tennessee wins out and faces a ranked opponent in a bowl game and wins, Tennessee will finish ranked in the AP top 25, given how the season is currently breaking (lots of 2 and 3 loss teams already - an 8-5 SEC team with three top 25 wins surely gets in).

A lot has to go our way but what an accomplishment that would be...

Off we’d beaten USCe, we’d be borderline too 25 right now, IMO. Quality losses FTW

I felt the same about The Office. Glad I gave it another shot.

Got to give Jordan credit for improving his vision. That was something he struggled with earlier in the year but if you go back and watch Saturday’s game he did a great job of picking a lane and hitting it. He’s an above average back when he does that.

For as good as that show became, it took a long time to really get going. The whole first season was garbage, and it doesn't really take off until Rob Lowe and Adam Scott show up late in the 2nd season.

The first season it seems like they were trying to make Leslie Nope just another Michael Scott too. Her intelligence really gets a bump in the later seasons.

I’ve been thinking back to ‘13. I recall getting slap embarrassed in Oregon. That was a far better team than Florida, and we expected a rout. It was so bad though that I remember wondering if Butch could ever right the ship.

Well, the team rebounded and beat a very good SC team. I cried in the stands as I watched our players have something to celebrate because THEY deserved it. We all had hope after that.

All I’m looking for right now is something to give the team and the fans that same hope. We don’t know the future, but hope can go a long way. Play tough, rebound from mistakes, win a game you shouldn’t, be competitive, sign a good class, etc.

Anything for hope for these players who deserve it as much or more that that ‘13 team did.

We are playing tougher, we've won two games we shouldn't have, we are competitive, and the class is about to take off. Even more, I see growth, maturity, player development, and am beginning to see the fruits of a good S&C program. We might not win every game, but we will continue to be increasingly competitive and win more than our fair share of games moving forward.

The future is bright.
