I would imagine that LU would give Freeze almost complete control over the program. He could bypass a coordinator position for a couple of years by going here as the head coach before returns to a major school as head coach.

Exactly. Hugh wants that AU job. Gus doesn't want to be fired...too much pride. He took a lower buyout so Auburn could justify keeping him another year. In the mean time, he will pull a Jimbo, and find himself a new job at another P5. Freeze would basically be the head coach in waiting next year, smoothly suceeeding Gus in 2020. Book it.

I like riddles, just trying to flush you out... which worked... you have been silent since marshmallow man...
