I feel like we have had worse baggage than a 800 number or am I wrong?..just seems petty to me honestly,especially if rival schools are making it known they also have interest.i think at that point you suck it up and make the hire before you have to play against him.pruitt is starting to see this vision that we have been fearing for weeks now I think.

We have no real idea what's going on internally. It could be that Pruitt is doing a diligent job and not 'pulling the trigger' as fast as most of us would like. No need to spin this in to a conspiracy where once again, the evil administration is screwing vol fans.

It's been a year now, and I think a lot of us now admit that we didn't really care about Schiano's connection to Sandusky. We thought the guy was an a-hole, not worth a head coach job, and we exploited the one thing we knew would make waves. I, for one, cried, I actually sob-cried, when I heard it was Schiano. I was immediately right back to that place I was in when I first heard what happened at Penn State and all I could think about were those boys being raped...scared and alone and wondering where all the adults were that could stop it from happening. If there was a snowball's chance in hel* that he knew and could have stopped it and rescued those future boys and didn't...grrrrrrrrrr. I did not and do not want that man anywhere near my Tennessee. I immediately emailed and tweeted Aunt Bev and President Joe.

My stomach is in knots right now, just thinking about what happened to those boys.

You can speak for yourself hotcypress - but don't speak for me.

I keep coming back to the only legit news so far today...Lindsay accepted the OC position at KANSAS. No doubt he was one of the candidates. If we didn’t already have our OC locked up, why would he go ahead and accept that position? Why not wait and make sure you aren’t Pruitt’s choice for a much better job at TN? Tells me this thing has to be done and Pruitt already locked down whonhe wants as OC. Is that guy Freeze? Smoke suggests it but surely this is announced tomorrow one way or the other.

This is what pisses me off though. If we don't hire him, it will be because someone overpowered Pruitt and Fulmer. That's BS. Meanwhile, other schools who want to win like FSU, Bama and Auburn would hire him simply because that's who the head football coach wants.

I don’t think there’s any bad news as if this search is still going on. I think the hire has been made bc no way we let Lindsey walk if a hire hasn’t been made. We are just hopeful that it’s the right hire

I can tell you this with 100% confidence...when I posted last night a decision had been made by JP at some point Sat night/Sun morning who we wanted to hire and that the wheels would be set in motion to make that happen. I am not sure if anything has changed since then because again I haven’t been in contact today with folks. But again the sense of what I got was that things would get set in motion today or at the latest tuesday. So perhaps everyone should sit back and take a deep breath. I also didn’t allude to who coach had decided on because that isn’t my place to leak that kind of information before it is leaked to the folks who need to know...I can’t upset the apple cart in that capacity.
