If Locksley takes the Maryland job and we can hire Enos, will Butch take over play calling duties for their bowl games. That would be the beginning of the end for Bama if that happens.

Couple of thoughts:

Today would be a great day with Urban retiring to sneak in a OC with a checkered past.

Fulmer is NYC for the next 2 days.

CJP is out recruiting

Not sure any of those things matter, just random thoughts if we find out today.

I know it would never happen. But if Pruitt is gone after year 2/3 and Urban showed interest in the job would you want him?

This makes the most sense to me. If we don't land Freeze today it tells me we are waiting on Freeze to pick us or Bama. If Bama picks Freeze I think we take Enos.

In contradiction to these reports, however, there’s also the opinion of WNML’s Brian Rice. According to Rice, he’s been told from the beginning of the search that Hugh Freeze would “wait and see” what other jobs opened up before he made a decision. Rice states that “nothing I’ve seen has changed that.”

I was told at the start of all of this that Freeze was going to wait to see everything that opened up before he agreed to a job anywhere. Particularly at Alabama and Auburn. Nothing I’ve seen since has changed that.

Could UT be slow-playing him? I suppose, but I can’t buy it. They have the money available because of Helton’s salary. They have the opening. But all actual evidence points to him being the one waiting.

As other guys you are interested in start to come off the board, the question becomes, how long are you willing to wait, particularly if he was waiting to find out about jobs that aren’t you?
